Esme Arias-Kim (violin), 14, lives in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and is a ninth grader at Fremd High School. She is a Merit Scholarship Fellow at the Music Institute of Chicago’s Academy and studies violin with Almita Vamos and David Lisker. Esme received Grand Prize in the junior division of the 23rd Annual Sphinx Competition and has won first place in competitions such as the New York International Artist Association, Lisker Music Foundation Young Artists Scholarship Competition, and the Walgreens National Concerto Competition. Esme enjoys writing, running, cooking and drawing, and she is especially interested in the intersection between visual art and music.

Nadira Novruzov (flute), 18, hails from New York, New York, and studies music with Bart Feller at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division. She is the 2019 winner of the National Flute Association’s High School Competition. One of Nadira’s proudest musical accomplishments was coaching an 11-year-old flute student and witnessing the enormous progress she made. Outside of music, Nadira enjoys reading, singing, photography, making video diaries, and exploring the city with her friends. She is a graduate of Bard High School and is currently taking a gap year before entering Yale University.
