Vibha Janakiraman

Vibha Janakiraman (violin), 15, is from West Chester, Pennsylvania and is in the tenth grade at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School University Scholars Program. She studies violin with Catherine Cho and Francesca dePasquale through The Julliard School pre-college division. Vibha played violin with the Gray Charitable Trust Advanced Scholarship Piano Trio at the Settlement School and has performed as a soloist with several orchestras in the Philadelphia region. She has a deep connection to both Western and South Indian classical music and also enjoys studying math and Sanskrit.

Joshua Mhoon

Joshua Mhoon (piano), 17, is from Chicago, Illinois and attends the Whitney Young Magnet High School. He studies piano at Chicago’s Merit School of Music. Joshua has performed at the historical inauguration of Chicago’s first black female mayor at Wintrust Area, at Carnegie Hall with the National Youth Orchestra and in Miami with the New World Symphony. He was one of ten young pianists worldwide to be selected to study with renowned concert pianist Lang Lang. In his free time, Joshua enjoys playing baseball and basketball, hanging out with friends, playing video games, and building his stock market portfolio.

Ifetayo Ali-Landing

Ifetayo Ali-Landing (cello), 15, lives in Chicago, Illinois where she has studied at the Hyde Park Suzuki Institute and with Hans Jensen at Northwestern University School of Music. Ifetayo was the 2017 Sphinx Competition Junior Division First-Place Laureate and performed as soloist with the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra at Orchestra Hall in Detroit. She has also performed with the Wilmington (NC) Symphony, New World Symphony, and Detroit Symphony, and her favorite musical experience has been performing at the Gateways Music Festival in Rochester, New York. Ifetayo also enjoys fashion, computer coding, soccer, acting, and creating video content.
