Alum Yuga Cohler Graduates Harvard, Moves on to Juilliard!

From the Top alum and oboist Yuga Cohler (Show 142, Granville) from Lexington, Massachusetts, is about to finish his senior year at Harvard University!

Yuga has been serving as Music Director of the Harvard Bach Society, and has been accepted into the the Master of Music program in Conducting at Juilliard. He starts this fall, and will be studying with Alan Gilbert, Music Director of the New York Philharmonic. Mr. Gilbert only has a 3-person studio and Yuga will be one of them. Mr. Gilbert is also a Harvard graduate and former music director of the Bach Society.

On Friday, April 22 at Harvard’s Paine Hall, Yuga will lead his final program which includes his dad, Jonathan Cohler, performing the Copland Clarinet Concerto.
