Alum Stars in Benefit Recital for The Glenn Gould Foundation

Canadian pianist Marika Bournaki, who appeared on Show 181 in Portland, Oregon, will perform in Carnegie Hall on Thursday, November 18 at 8pm for a recital benefiting the Glenn Gould Foundation. The concert, honoring Gould’s legacy, will feature Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, and Ravel.

Marika has done a lot of work with the Glenn Gould Foundation, which celebrates and promotes music in honor of Gould. She performed in another benefit concert in 2008, and participated in the 75th anniversary celebration of Gould’s birth in 2007.

“I feel privileged to be associated once more with The Glenn Gould Foundation and with Gould’s constant search for musical creativity,” Marika said. “As a young artist, I’m excited to help the Foundation continue its mission to honor his spirit and transform lives through the power of music.”
