Alum Neara Russell Releases Third Studio Album

Pianist/composer Neara Rusell recently released her third studio album, a self-produced pop/rock adventure titled “Noise and Silence.”

Neara appeared on From the Top Show 132 in Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 17, where she performed one of her own compositions with mezzo-soprano Carolyn Sproule – “Lemonade Pie” from “Food for the Gods…and me.”

After graduating from Berklee College of Music last year as a Berklee Presidential Scholar with a double-major in composition and piano/vocal performance, Neara’s musical career took her across the continent to Hollywood. Having just moved to Los Angeles, CA in March, she has already begun to make her mark on the West Coast music scene as the keyboardist and background vocalist for Sony/J Records artist BC Jean. She’ll join BC Jean to perform on upcoming episodes of The View and Access Hollywood!

Neara’s compositions are also gaining recognition around the world – her latest concert work, “Funk Happy,” was premiered in Argentina by the Universidad de Villa Maria wind ensemble, under guest conductor Gregory Fritze.
