Amie performs on Show 476.

Amie Shen (violin), 17, hails from Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and studies with Ann Setzer at the Juilliard Precollege. She has been playing violin since the age of four, and has participated in masterclasses with numerous professional musicians, including Orli Shaham, Julianne Lee, Shai Wosner, and Astrid Schween. She has attended various prestigious summer festivals, including the 2023 Boston University Tanglewood Institute Violin Workshop and Young Artists’ Orchestra on a full scholarship, and the 2024 Meadowmount School of Music. In the same year, she world premiered Kian Ravaei’s work, Parvāneh, as the violinist of piano trio Mosaica, and the following year, she acted as concertmaster of the Juilliard Precollege Orchestra.

Outside of music, she enjoys writing, journalism, and ecological studies.
