Meet Taylor-Marie
Taylor-Marie Robinson (soprano), 17, is from Greenville, South Carolina, where she studies privately with Danielle Knox at the Fine Arts Center, South Carolina’s First Public High School for the visual, creative, and performing arts. Taylor-Marie has had the opportunity to cultivate her vocal artistry by performing in master classes with Metropolitan Opera singers like Reggie Smith Jr., Gordon Hawkins, Nicole Cabell, and Ana María Martinez, among others.
Taylor-Marie has gained recognition both locally and nationally, from performances featured on Fox 21 and WSPA 7 News to competing in national competitions. Most recently, she was selected as a YoungArts Award Winner in Classical Voice in both 2024 and 2025. She placed 2nd in the 2025 Schmidt Vocal Competition High School Nationals, 2nd in the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Regional NATS vocal competition, and 3rd at Oberlin Conservatory’s Richard Miller Voice Competition in 2024.
Besides her musical achievements, Taylor-Marie is a dedicated student and ranks in the top 2% of her class. In addition, she was honored by the College Board’s National Recognition Program as a recipient of both the 2025 School Recognition and First Generation Awards.
Receiving the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award will cover the travel and lodging fees associated with Taylor-Marie’s upcoming college auditions, as well as allow her to attend a summer music festival in 2026.
