Meet Aves

Aves Trio appears on Show 467.

The Aves Trio is comprised of Jacob Rockower (piano), Euisun Hong (violin), and Huisun Hong (cello). The Junior Gold Medalist of the 2025 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, where they also earned the Horszowski Piano Trio Prize, the trio is coached by Director Susan Bates and pianist Jeffrey LaDeur of Young Chamber Musicians in Burlingame, California. They’ve appeared in masterclasses with internationally recognized musicians including pianist Stephen Prutsman and the Miró Quartet, and have performed at various local community concerts such as the “Next Generation” concert of the Rossmoor Chamber Music Society in both 2024 and 2025. As part of their recognition as the First and Grand Prize winners of the 11th annual Coltman Chamber Music Competition held in Austin, Texas in 2024, the Trio performed at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Young Musicians Concert in Alice Tully Hall in New York City in May 2025. They are students of pianist Professor Hans Boepple, violinist Wenyi Shih, and cellist Eric Sung, respectively.
