Tim Banker Talent Development Award
The Tim Banker Talent Development Award is a one-time, non-renewable, need-based grant of up to $10,000 given in conjunction with full participation in From the Top’s Learning and Media Lab Fellowship.
Each year, From the Top will award $20,000 in Tim Banker Talent Development Awards to driven pre-collegiate musicians ages 8-17 with financial need. As one of the first members of From the Top’s creative team, Tim Banker created a supportive environment for young musicians on From the Top. Throughout his 20+ year career at From the Top, Tim was a coach, teacher, and mentor to all From the Top alumni. This Award was funded in his honor to support the development of young talent by connecting them with music education and mentorship opportunities. This includes private lessons, summer festivals, workshops/masterclasses, and other educational experiences that might otherwise be financially unattainable.
