Meet Sophie

Sophie Nguyen appeared as part of a piano duo with Naomi Kobayashi on Show 395, airing February 15, 2021.

Sophie Nguyen (piano), 17, lives in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a junior at Iolani School. She studies piano with Joanna Fan and violin with Kathy Hafner. She also performs with Iolani School’s Symphonic Orchestra 5. Sophie is proud of winning nationals for the MTNA Senior Duet Piano competition. Outside of music, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and participating in Science Olympiad.
