Co-Host & Pianist Michelle Cann performs Florence Price’s Sonata in E Minor on From the Top

Florence Price composed her Piano Sonata in E minor in 1932, one year before the Chicago Symphony Orchestra premiered her first symphony, making Price’s piece the first composition by an African-American woman to be played by a major orchestra.
