Meet Max
MAX ELLSWORTH, 16, began studying cello at the age of seven. He is currently taught by MichaelBonner at his private studio in Cambridge. For the past two years Max has been a member of the New England Conservatory’s Youth Symphony. Max participated in the competition and festival at the Cremona International Music Academies from 2013 to 2015, where he enjoyed playing with various orchestras and chamber groups. Throughout the past four summers Max has also routinely performed solo, cello duo, and sometimes chamber music on Newbury Street. Occasionally he will make an appearance in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where he holds a license for street performance. In addition to cello, Max competes on a ‘Cyberpatriot’ team at MIT, programs in Python, and explores Linux. Max is currently a junior at Boston University Academy.
