Valerie Kim, 17, violin, hails from Edgewater, NJ, and has played the violin for 8 years. She has studied with some of the world’s foremost pedagogues including Donald Weilerstein, Itzhak Perlman and Li Lin, and currently attends Juilliard Pre-College where she participates in their youth symphony, as well as a string quartet. Ms. Kim has been a participant of the Perlman Music Program Summer Music School for several years in a row now, and has performed in the La Jolla Music Society Summer Fest. Outside of music, Valerie enjoys photography, cooking, and reading.
