Qiudi Zhang appeared on Show 176, recorded in March 2009, at age 17.

Qiudi Zhang (clarinet), 17, is a senior at the arts boarding school, North Carolina School for the Arts in Winston-Salem, where she studies with Igor Begelman. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Qiudi is a recipient of From the Top’s $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. When she is not practicing or performing with her school symphony and wind ensemble, Qiudi loves painting and sketching and spending time with her family when she is on school break.

Qiudi is a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist.
