Ziyao “Chelsea” Guo (piano), 13, is from Darien, Connecticut, and attends Darien High School. She studies with Choong Mo Kang at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division. She is a first prize winner of the 2012 American Protégé International Piano Competition and the 2012 New York Piano Teachers’ Congress Piano Competition. Chelsea has performed as a soloist with the New Britain Symphony in Connecticut and the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra. She has attended the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Ishikawa Music Academy, and the Schlern International Music Festival. Outside of music, Chelsean enjoys ballet and writing.
