Ho Joon Kim performed on Show 257, recorded in July 2012, at age 13.

Ho Joon Kim (piano), 13, is from Los Angeles, California and attends The Colburn School where he is a student of Jee Sung Kang. A violinist and pianist, he has participated in the Los Angeles Unified School District Honor Orchestra Music Festival and the Colburn School of Performing Arts’ Violin Ensemble. He is interested in politics and enjoys debating. In addition to receiving the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award in addition to his From the Top appearance, Ho Joon received the Cooke Foundation’s Young Scholars Award in 2012. He later went on to receive the Jack Kent Cooke College Scholarship!
