Meet Mira

Mira Williams will perform on Show 356 on May 15, 2018 in Boston Massachusetts.

Mira Williams appeared on Show 287, recorded in April 2014, at age 16. She also performed in the From the Top Band’s 2015 mashup cover of “Can’t Feel My Face | Where Are Ü Now”.

Mira Williams (viola), 16, is from Chicago, Illinois and attends Kenwood Academy High School. She studies with Marko Dreher of the Music Institute of Chicago. As a part of her string quartet, Quartet Lumiere, she won the 2013 Gold Medal in the Junior Division of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. She has also won first place in the SAM Jules M. Laser Chamber Music Competition, the MYA Discover National Chamber Music Competition, and the Pearl G. Barnett Chamber Music Competition. Outside of music, Mira enjoys blogging, going to see movies, going to museums, reading, and swimming.

Mira is a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist.
