This week, from Carnegie Hall in New York City, you’ll hear five outstanding musicians, including a 12-year-old violinist from New Jersey playing from the Paganini Sonata No. 12 in E minor, a teenage flute trio from the New York area playing the Martinu Madrigal Sonata, and an 18-year-old clarinetist, also from New York, playing a transcription on a Rossini aria. Also on today’s program, classical music legend Isaac Stern holds a mini master class with our young violinist!

Violinist Brittany Sklar, 12, from Garfield, NJ, performs Sonata No. 12 in E minor, Opus 3, No. 6 by Niccolò Paganini
Clarinetist Vincent Madonna, 18, from Westbury, NY, performs Introduction, Theme & Variations by Gioachino Rossini
Cellist Gregory Kramer, 15, from Belle Terre, NY, performs Elegy, Op. 24 by Gabriel Fauré
The Martinu Trio (flutist Kathleen McGovern, 16, from Monroe, NY; violinist Yin Li, 17, from Staten Island, NY; and pianist Wei-han Wu, 18, from Princeton, NJ) performs Madrigal Sonata by Bohuslav Martinu
