This week, From the Top is in beautiful Savannah, Georgia as guests of the Savannah Music Festival. You’ll meet outstanding musicians from 13 to 18 and hear a variety of unusual and wonderful music, all from the twentieth century, including pieces by American composer John Corigliano, British composer Rebecca Clarke, and Bulgarian composer Pancho Vladigerov.

Violinist Jack Stultz, 16, from Columbus OH, performs Sonata for Violin and Piano I. Allegro by John Corigliano

Saxophonist Kaelah Caldwell, 17, from Athens, GA, performs Sonata, Op. 19, II. With Tranquility by Paul Creston

Pianist Connie Kim-Sheng, 13, from La Crescenta, CA, performs “Toccata” from Episodes, Op.36 by Pancho Vladigerov

Pianist Christopher O’Riley performs Fugue in F Minor by Dmitri Shostakovich

Tenor Jermaine Jackson, 18, from Lawrenceville, GA, sings “When I Have Sung My Songs” by Ernest Charles

The 15th Street Trio (violinist Stephanie Jewell, 14, from Plainfield, IL; cellist Harris Paseltiner, 18, from Wilmette, IL; and pianist Elena Kim, 18, from Streamwood, IL) performs Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano III. Allegro vigoroso by Rebecca Clarke
