About

From the Top is in the Lone Star State as guests of the San Antonio Symphony. Among this week’s musicians, you’ll meet a pianist from Quebec who portrays “the cowboy with the strangest accent in all the west” in one of the show’s silliest skits ever, and in keeping with this week’s regional theme, you’ll meet a 12-year-old violinist from San Antonio, an 18 year-old saxophonist from Austin, an 18-year-old clarinetist from North Richland Hills, and a mezzo-soprano who can’t wait until next year when she’ll attend Rice University in Houston. The great state of Texas is well represented on this week’s From the Top!
