Meet Tristan
Tristan Flores appeared on Show 285, recorded in March 2014, at age 15. He will also perform on Show 313 in October 2015.
Program Bio from Show 285:
Tristan Flores is from Lexington, Massachusetts, where he attends Lexington High School. He is a recipient of From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. Tristan studies with Donald Weilerstein of the New England Conservatory. He performs as concertmaster of the Greater Boston Asian-American Youth Symphony Orchestra and as a member of the violin section of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Tristan was the first place winner of the 2012 Roman Totenberg String Competition, the third place winner of the 2011 Sphinx Competition, and the second place winner of the New England Conservatory Preparatory School Concerto Competition. He is a full scholarship student of Project STEP and the Aspen Music Festival. Outside of music, Tristan is interested in technology and science.
