Tom Voegeli's work has received two Grammy Awards, four Grammy nominations, four Peabody Awards and a Prix Italia. He is known as one of the leading audio producers in the United States. Beyond his work with From the Top, Tom has produced The MTT Files with conductor Michael Tilson Thomas, American Mavericks, and Schickele Mix with Peter Schickele. In addition, he created the long-running radio programs Saint Paul Sunday and The Splendid Table.
Tim Banker came to From the Top from the world of theater where he's worked as a director, writer and actor. He has directed plays in Boston, Chicago, Memphis, Mississippi and Pittsburgh, he's a graduate of the A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University, a winner of the NEA/TCG Career Development Award for Directors, a founding member of the Cornerstone Theater Company and he's been a guest lecturer at Emerson College, St. George's School and Middlesex Community College.
Tom Vignieri is the music producer/director of From the Top. In the past he has served as artistic administrator of the Handel and Haydn Society and director of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He is also a composer and has had works performed across North America and in such venues as Lincoln Center in New York and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. His most recent work entitled Fanfare of Voices was commissioned by the Handel and Haydn Society to commemorate the 250th anniversary year of George Frideric Handel and was premiered at Symphony Hall in Boston. Prior to joining From the Top, David Balsom spent nearly 20 years heading one of the leading arts/entertainment public relations firms in New England. In that time, he represented national Broadway tours such as Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby as well as over 200 New England presentations ranging from The Big Apple Circus to such diverse shows as Blue Man Group, Riverdance, Ragtime and The Who's Tommy. He also provided public relations consulting to such institutions as The Institute of Contemporary Art, Huntington Theatre Company, ARTS/Boston as well as a number of retail and business entities. A graduate of SUNY at Buffalo, he has taught at Boston University, Middlesex Community College and the Proscenium Institute for Audience Development at Emerson College. Contact David Balsom
Elizabeth DeVore hails from a tiny town in southern Iowa. She received her BA in Theatre and Communication Studies from Central College and MA in Stage Management at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She relocated to Boston in 2005 to stage manage a national tour for Chamber Theatre Productions before working on a NE regional tour with Boston Lyric Opera. In July of 2007, Elizabeth joined the team at From the Top. As production manager, Elizabeth organizes and coordinates the logistics, travel, equipment and crew for the live radio performances and for TV as well as run the live radio show from the stage.
Berred Ouellette has been responsible for the sound on From the Top since show #1. Berred has engineered and produced soundtracks for film and other media involving art, science, and history installations focusing on music from many genres including; jazz, classical, folk and acoustic, rock, pop, and ethnic influences. He runs his own sound production company providing studio recording, mixing, and editing services, and a sound reinforcement company providing systems and personnel for live sound.
